 • Description:

    Dileptus is a very large, predatory ciliate. Its proboscis ("neck") is very flexible and motile. Doesn't swim fast. Has numerous little contractile vacuoles along cell endges and one large vacuole at the posterior end. Somewhat similar to Amphileptus, but bigger.
