• Length: 100-300 mm
• Description:
Amphileptus is a large, predatory ciliate.
It has numerous contractile vacuoles along cell edges. Cell body is uniformly clilated.
There are two or more elliptical macronuclei. Neck is not
flexible as in Dileptus.
Somewhat similar to Litonotus, but bigger.
