My former software projects (1993-1996)

Most of these programs are obsolete and are not supported anymore. They require DOS, 286 (AT-compatible) machine (or better), 1 MB RAM, and VGA-compatible graphics card to run. The program were written using Turbo Pascal and my own graphics library, PiroGL. Anyway, you may find something interesting here.

Note: It can be difficult to run these programs on modern computers. Therefore, you may wish to download and install a free DOS emulator software: DOSBox. Also, this software will allow you to run DOS programs under Linux, OS X, BeOS and other operating systems. Good luck!

Audio Styler Pro (150 KB zip) (1994)
Sound file editor and a simple virtual synthesiser. Note: 6-oscillator wavetable modular synth written in 1994! Non-realtime, though.

Chain Reaction (24 KB zip) (1994)
Very simple logical game for 1-3 persons.

Font Edit (67 KB zip) (1995)
A simple bitmap font editor for PiroGL-based programs.

  GAS v.1.00 (87 KB zip) (1995)
Genetic Algorithm Simulations. Simple and easy introduction to genetic algorithms. The GA are used to solve three computational problems: single-variable function minimization, traveling salesman problem, and molecular system geometry optimization. Source code of genetic algorithm template (C++) is included.

  Hopfield v.3.10 (116 KB zip) (1995)
Binary neural network simulator. The program can visualize neuron states, train the network using two different methods, and perform several experiments. Good introduction to neural computing.

  OSC v.1.30 (100 KB zip) (1994)
Oscillating reaction kinetics simulator. The program uses Runge-Kutta 4th order method to solve kinetic equations. Includes various models and visualization options.

  PiroGL (107 KB zip) (1995)
Turbo Pascal low-level (PiroGL) and high-level (PiroGUI) libraries for creating user interface. Require VGA-compatible graphics card.

Postcode recognition (129 KB zip) (1995)
Backpropagation trained three-layer feedforward network is used to recognize handwritten 5-character number. Source code and an example trained netowrk are included.

  SpeGen (13 KB zip) (1993)
Generates speeches of unlimited length (in Polish).

Virtual Sound Lab (103 KB zip) (1996)
Virtual modular sound synthesiser. Includes a very simple script language interpreter and several example input files.
