• Description:
Ichthyophthirius is a very large, ovoid ciliate.
It is a parasitic protozoan in fish, causing the 'ick' diesease.
Well, I'm not 100% sure if this is really the Ichthyophthirius.
It is supposed to have a horseshoe-shaped nucleus well visible in the
brightfield, although I can't observe it in my photographs.
