• Length: 15-20 mm (individual cells), 40-60 mm (colony)

 • Description:

    Anthophysis (Anthophysa) is a colonial, sessile flagellate. It is attached to substrate using yellowish or brown stalks. The colonies sometimes break free and swim into a water. Individual cells are small and colorless, with two short flagella.
